finally today - sunday

lunch at bodhi - oskar stacked his gla gla, but he did enjoy the sticky rice, and lychee agar jelly. yum!

and oskar learnt to roll a cup tomake a smooth surface, before we went to the beach.

it's really friday

we drove from canberra to sydney and dropped mum at her interview for her visa to the states. then hotfooted it to the kids park at bondi beach for a quick play and stroll along the beach. en route took a wrong turn onto the tollway and i said "oh bugger!" following which oskar said "oh bugger!" for the next few minutes.

picked mum up and drove to gosford and had lunch at the single most twin peaksish 'canteen' at peats island...

made the most of playing in the sun in the backgarden at merrill and garry's.

we went for a walk to dickson shops to buy some flowers and there was an excellent slide at the garden shop. followed up with a margarita pizza with olives sitting in the sun. and yes today he did come home to have a sleep.

yesterday he slept, but today he didn't

an oh so tired oskar, just about to crash out in the car on the way home from swimming. it was only 5.30pm and i kept those eyelids open till 7 - otherwise i'd be having breakfst at 4...

how does a 22 month old sleep?

oskar started at a new play group today - 20 or so kids and awesome facilities. he played for hours on the tricycles and learnt to pedal, and in his down time learnt that different coloured paints have different brushes and pots. a revelation. perhaps now not everything will be painted brown.

too much to resist. oskar followed the bike for twenty minutes and as soon as aiden, the owner, jumped off, oskar jumped on.

ahh, it's been too long

the consequence of packing up in sri lanka and moving back to australia and not having regular access. that's all of the excuses and now for the news.

we have now settled back into our house in downer after a frenetic couple of weeks (end may / beginning june) getting our stuff ready to be packed, oskar and i moving from colombo, having the 20 week scan (all well) and spending some time in brisvegas. a few last unphotoshopped snaps of our final days in colombo.





and then we had his farewell party and saying goodbye to kumari and sriyani




flew back on singapore airlines with oskar having his own sky bed.
